Job Description

We have an exciting opening for a Mental Health Associate position at Alder Creek, a 6-bed licensed Residential Treatment Facility (RTF) located in Milwaukie, Oregon. As a member of the direct care team, you will be responsible for supporting the development of life skills and therapeutic interventions, performing housekeeping, preparing meals, administering medication, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. Successful candidates for this position ideally will have experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA), Residential Assistant (RA), Residential Counselor, Skills Trainer, or Caregiver for clients with behavioral health needs.

Work Schedule

  • Friday through Sunday, 11:30am - 10:00pm (Part-Time, Swing)
  • Wednesday through Saturday, 10:00am - 8:30pm (Full-Time, Swing)

What You'll Make

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour, DOE/Credentials. An additional $2.50 per hour night shift differential will apply during the hours of 10:00pm - 6:00am. An additional 5% Language Differential is offered for Bilingual or Multilingual candidates (Spanish/English desired).

About the Program

Alder Creek provides residential care and treatment for 6 adults discharged from the Oregon State Hospital, with the goal of preparing and enabling residents to transition back into their communities. The program offers the residents their own rooms and access to spacious common living areas, offering a private, rural feel while being close to public transit, city services, and shopping.

What You'll Need

Eligibility for Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) registration is a must. This eligibility can be met through a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science, a minimum of three years of verifiable behavioral health experience working with individuals in a supervised setting, or an equivalent combination of behavioral science education and relevant experience and training. Successful applicants must also have a valid Oregon driver’s license, maintain a safe driving record, and be able to pass a DHS criminal background check. Physical requirements include the ability to frequently engage in various physical tasks and successfully complete crisis de-escalation and CPR training, with accommodations available.
