Job Description
HEPACO, a leading environmental and emergency services company in the Eastern United States, is looking for a dedicated Environmental Services / ER Project Manager to join their Norfolk, VA branch. In this role, you will be responsible for organizing and leading projects in the region with a strong focus on safety and quality. You will also play a key role in the sales and marketing process, providing essential inputs during bidding/quoting phases. Reporting directly to the Branch Manager and closely collaborating with the Territory Account Manager, you will ensure project success and adherence to company policies.
Responsibilities
- Manage project activities including planning, contract compliance, quality control, health & safety oversight, and resource management.
- Participate in project bidding/quoting, ensuring accuracy of contract terms and meeting client expectations.
- Collaborate with the sales team in business development efforts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, manage expenses within budget limits.
- Lead and mentor team members, handle personnel matters, and contribute to recruitment activities.
- Provide timely project cost reporting and financial data.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related field, with at least five years of relevant experience.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills for effective team collaboration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite and experience with Hyland OnBase is a plus.
- Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and/or eRailSafe security clearance.
- Physical ability to perform required tasks and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
