At Avis Budget Group, we are seeking a Ruby Car Processing and Exceptions Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for processing financial related tasks and all paperwork exceptions associated with the purchase of a vehicle. The role includes processing vehicle titles and registrations to establish or transfer ownership of a motor vehicle using the respective state and agency guidelines in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities

  • Update internal systems with information on trade-in vehicles to be accounted for as an asset.
  • Process trade-in payoff payments to respective lienholders using proper calculation.
  • Handle other financial and banking related tasks that arise that are not part of the daily and normal process.
  • Generate banking reports via various financial sites/files received.
  • Use the LongPen system to process incoming deal paperwork where applicable by signing and notarizing documents thoroughly and accurately.
  • Execute titles according to different state’s rules.
  • Mail all documents to proper locations including tag agencies and DMV locations.
  • Track all incoming and outgoing work in a shared system for visibility and to identify gaps in processes and enable seamless reporting for management.
  • Work with banks and lienholders to obtain titles on vehicles associated with payoffs.
  • Work to ensure the auction or brick and mortar stores receive trade titles as needed.
  • Keep track of any deal that is missing paperwork and follow up on a regular basis to get it resolved swiftly.
  • Respond to all customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work with tag agencies, brick and mortar locations, and DMVs to ensure all deals are complete.
  • Complete cross-training in other department functions and be prepared to stand in for other roles as necessary.
  • Facilitate the Long Pen signatures process/experience with customers.
  • Other duties as needed or assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • 2-4 years of data entry experience.
  • Previous customer service skills.
  • Previous experience in an automotive dealership transactional support role.
  • Vehicle title experience.
  • Minimum 2 years banking, account reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable experience.
  • Must be a Notary Public.
  • Proficient PC skills (MS Office – Excel, Word, Outlook) - some macro knowledge preferred.
  • Background check and fingerprinting may be required for DMV online processing/supervision.
