Job Description

As a Safety Officer at Career Systems Development Corporation, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for students and staff in accordance with Job Corps regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies. Your role will involve developing safety plans, conducting inspections, providing training, and facilitating safety committee meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Create and sustain positive working relationships with co-workers.
  • Develop and implement Center Safety Plans to ensure the safety of students and staff.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and safety procedures.
  • Coordinate emergency drills and work closely with law enforcement and emergency services.
  • Prepare reports and maintain compliance with OSHA and other health and safety regulations.
  • Design and implement safety orientation programs for staff and students.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of security or fire prevention and safety experience.
  • Knowledge of security, fire prevention, safety procedures, and OSHA requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Valid State driver's license and CPR/FA Certification.
