Senior Safety & Environmental Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Safety & Environmental Specialist to join our team at S&C Electric Company. Reporting to the Global Health, Safety & Environmental team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Your responsibilities will include coordinating training, maintaining documentation, evaluating regulations' impact on operations, and providing safety guidance across various areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate health, safety & environmental training.
• Maintain documentation for compliance.
• Track and evaluate regulations' effects on operations.
• Interface with different departments to meet safety objectives.
• Conduct facility audits and inspections for compliance.
• Provide safety oversight and guidance for various safety programs.
• Collect and analyze environmental samples as needed.
• Review contractor safety plans and ensure hazard mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5-7 years of experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated high-level performance in safety & environmental functions.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
• Proficiency in incident investigation and risk assessment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Experience with health, safety & environmental data management software.
