1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler

Job Description

Aldi is seeking a skilled 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join our team. As an integral part of the warehouse operation, you will be responsible for efficiently receiving, relocating, sorting, and preparing merchandise for shipment. In addition, you will be expected to maintain warehouse appearance standards, conduct inventory counts, and collaborate effectively with peers and warehouse leadership to improve processes. The ideal candidate will be able to handle physical demands, such as lifting and moving merchandise, and operate powered industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to fulfill store orders.
• Relocate merchandise according to handling guidelines.
• Sort, organize, and load merchandise for shipment and unload incoming shipments.
• Maintain warehouse appearance standards and safety requirements.
• Participate in warehouse inventory counts and provide input to improve processes.
• Inspect product, consult with warehouse management regarding product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift and place product weighing up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and operate powered industrial equipment.
