Job Summary:

As an Academic Instructor, you will perform as an instructor in a classroom setting, delivering instructions in designated subject areas. Your role will involve conducting and managing academic classes, helping students achieve educational goals, maintaining classroom discipline, and fostering a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct and manage academic classes.
• Demonstrate and abide by Company Core Values.
• Help students achieve TABE gains, attainment in subject areas, and/or HSD/HSE obtainment.
• Promote a positive atmosphere for student motivation.
• Maintain discipline for effective learning.
• Document student records according to PRH and SOPs.
• Establish rapport with students.
• Utilize provided curriculum resources and develop new curriculum.
• Integrate applied academic activities into daily curriculum.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Certification to teach in the state of center location.
• Knowledge of required subject area.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students.

Physical Requirements:

Frequently: Sitting, Standing, Seeing, Hearing, Speaking.

Occasionally: Walking, Bending, Stooping, Squatting, Flexibility.

Seldom: Climbing, Lifting 50 pounds, Carrying, Kneeling, Pushing/Pulling, Running, Driving.

Environmental Demands:

Equipment operation, occasional solitary work, team interaction, college-level reading and writing.
