ATTORNEY - CIVIL LITIGATOR

Job Description

Rudman & Winchell LLC, a leading general practice law firm, is currently seeking an experienced Attorney specializing in Civil Litigation to join our esteemed legal team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in civil litigation, exceptional communication skills, and a dedication to delivering high-quality legal representation to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in civil litigation cases by drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to formulate effective case strategies.
• Manage all aspects of the litigation process, from discovery to trial preparation.
• Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings.
• Work collaboratively with fellow attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
• Stay updated on pertinent laws, regulations, and industry developments.
• Provide outstanding client service, maintaining regular communication and updates on case progress.
• Represent clients at various legal proceedings.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the state of Maine.
• Prior experience in civil litigation.
• Strong analytical, research, and writing abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capacity to handle multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized.
• Commitment to upholding ethical standards and client confidentiality.
• Ability to travel locally and statewide to attend to client legal needs.
• Willingness to work additional hours when required.
