Red River Commodities is seeking an Automation Technician to maintain the performance of automated and robotic equipment at our Horace facility. Working closely with Production Management and Plant Maintenance teams, you will optimize facility performance through electronic controls, automation, and robotics. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and implementing corrective actions, providing input on maintenance strategy, performing general maintenance tasks, training operators, and establishing data collection systems. The ideal candidate will have a 2-year technical degree, certification in PLC maintenance, pro-active problem-solving skills, and knowledge/experience in food processing or agriculture. Responsibilities

• Optimize facility performance through electronic controls, automation, and robotics
• Troubleshoot and implement corrective actions for PLCS, robotics, VFDs, and automation systems
• Provide input on maintenance strategy and system upgrades
• Perform general maintenance tasks on electrical equipment
• Train operators on automation systems
• Establish data collection system for production reporting

Requirements

• 2-year technical degree in applicable field preferred
• Certification in PLC maintenance or programming
• Pro-active and self-motivated
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge/experience in food processing or agriculture
