Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Transdev. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various vehicles, including Gillig buses, Cummins, Allison, CAT heavy equipment, owned by Summit County. This position offers competitive pay starting at $45 - $48 per hour, with the potential to earn up to $4,000 as a sign-on bonus. The work schedule consists of four 10-hour days per week.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
- Diagnose and perform repairs on brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, transmissions, and other vehicle components.
- Ensure accurate completion of work orders.
- Provide road calls and emergency services as needed.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement required.
- Minimum 5 years of automotive or diesel maintenance and repair experience.
- Mechanic's toolset.
- ASE certifications are mandatory. Must be willing to participate in company ASE certification program.
- Subject to DOT drug testing.
