Responsibilities
- Receive route paperwork, truck, and trailer assignment, and route instructions
- Conduct pre and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations
- Verify load, destination, and secure load properly
- Follow route plan and meet all delivery/pickup requirements
- Report and address any issues affecting the route
- Ensure cargo is secured throughout the delivery route
- Complete and verify all required paperwork and temperature requirements
- Accurately report hours of service and maintain compliance with DOT regulations
- Report to work on time and in a well-rested condition
- Document and report any defects or concerns with equipment as needed
