Janitor - FT

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Janitor to join our team at Happy Valley Store located at 1565 W Happy Valley Rd Phoenix, Arizona. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for performing janitorial duties such as cleaning restrooms, floors, emptying trash and recycling, dusting, and addressing any special requests to maintain a clean and orderly environment for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities. The starting pay for this position is $14.50 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Notify leaders of supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance.
• Safeguard company property by reporting incidents of theft or misappropriation.
• Ensure cleanliness of customer areas, stock refrigerators, and set up conference rooms.
• Service and clean restrooms, gather and empty trash and recycling, and clean building floors.
• Dust furniture, clean windows, mirrors, and walls, and clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines, reporting any hazards promptly.
• Model Goodwill Core Values including Trust, Collaboration, Engagement, Ownership, and Innovation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School education/GED or equivalent work experience.
• One year experience in janitorial services or related field.
• Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license and clean MVR.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen where applicable.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
