Job Description

The Leave Management Ability Analyst at The Hartford is responsible for investigating claims and determining if the insured person qualifies for benefits, as well as developing a plan for their return to work. This position supports the mission of helping customers rebuild their lives after unexpected events or illnesses, and entails following corporate claim standards, policies and procedures, and statutory, regulatory, and ethical requirements. In addition to these responsibilities, the role includes monitoring and reporting on leaves of absence, as well as facilitating the employee's return to work as soon as responsibly possible. This position will have a hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in our Sunrise, FL office three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal and external customers to retrieve and relay information relevant to leave management claims.
  • Provide exceptional customer service using professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Gather information, make sound decisions, and draw appropriate conclusions using critical thinking and mathematical aptitude.
  • Utilize business acumen and technical expertise to make ethical decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, experience and judgment, with management oversight.
  • Maintain a dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
  • Help create a positive team environment that achieves Group Benefit Claims Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and objectives.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience providing quality customer service required.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

  • HS Diploma/GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1+ years of claim experience a plus.
  • Medical terminology is a plus.

Compensation

The annualized base pay range for this role is $40,685 - $61,027. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency, and demonstration of competencies required for the role. This role also offers additional rewards such as short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
