Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team at Freeman Webb Company. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance of the physical plant, working under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager. You will participate in a variety of maintenance projects, performing tasks such as electrical repairs, plumbing work, carpentry, painting, and custodial work to ensure that our properties are well-maintained and safe for our residents.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all types of maintenance projects.
• Perform electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Replace broken items like glass, carpet, and appliances.
• Perform carpentry work and paint both interior and exterior surfaces.
• Assist in custodial work and grounds maintenance.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment and conduct inspections of units and common areas.
• Maintain stock control of maintenance materials and ensure work areas are organized and safe.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior maintenance experience or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and write reports.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Valid driver's license and insurability.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb, and work at heights.
