Job Description

Marion County Health and Human Services is seeking an experienced Mental Health Skills Trainer to join the Psychiatric Security Review Board (PSRB) team within Adult Behavioral Health. This part-time position involves working 33 hours per week at a supportive housing site to provide skills training, case management, and supervision for individuals with mental health challenges and substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide social and skills training according to individual service plans.
  • Offer case management services to help individuals access community resources and housing.
  • Monitor individuals to ensure compliance with release orders and safety in the community.
  • Maintain the supportive housing setting by organizing, cleaning, and ordering supplies.
  • Document all services provided accurately and timely.

Requirements

  • Three years of relevant work experience in behavioral health services or a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Current Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) Qualified Mental Health Associate certification or ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving history.
  • Ability to work with diverse individuals and demonstrate active listening skills.
