Registered Nurse II- 9E Neuroscience Stepdown Unit

Job Description

We are looking for a Registered Nurse II to join our Neuroscience Stepdown Unit at MUSC. In this role, you will provide individualized, goal-directed patient care and interact with the healthcare team to achieve optimal outcomes. The unit focuses on adult Stroke, Neurosurgery, & Neurology patients, with a fast-paced environment ensuring safe outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective patient care at a competent level.
• Interact with other healthcare professionals to achieve desired results.
• Maintain staffing ratios of 1:3 or 1:4 based on acuity and experience.
• Promote a collaborative and safe patient care environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
• Minimum of one-year work experience as a registered nurse.
• Licensure as a registered nurse in South Carolina or compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, and walking.
• Capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
