Summary
JOB SUMMARY: The RN provides nursing care to patients in compliance with the Maryland Nurse Practice Act, Standards of Practice, and organization protocols. Develops, implements, evaluates, and revises the plan of care based on patient needs. Collaborates with staff, physicians, and other disciplines to provide quality care delivery. Ensures a safe patient care environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of accredited School of Nursing.
- Current RN licensure with Maryland Board of Nursing or Compact State.
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience in Emergency Services or 3-5 years in acute care preferred.
- BLS required, ACLS within 6 months of hire, PALS and Hazmat within one year of hire.
- Certification in Emergency Nursing preferred.
- Completes orientation according to policy/procedures.
Unit Details
The new Emergency Department at Grace Medical Center features 17,000 square feet of state-of-the-art design with advanced technology. The department prioritizes patient comfort and personalized care. Negative pressure rooms for infectious diseases and a behavioral health treatment pod are available. A CT Scanner is on-site for early diagnoses.
