Occupational Therapist - Part-Time

Job Description

The Calais School, a state-approved special education institution catering to students with diverse learning needs, seeks a part-time Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide occupational therapy services as per students' IEPs, maintain accurate records, assist in program development, and supervise therapists while ensuring the program's efficacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services in alignment with student IEPs.
• Maintain and update student files, communicating effectively with the case manager.
• Contribute to program development to elevate therapy standards.
• Oversee contracted occupational therapists' work.
• Assess students' therapy needs based on referrals and collaborate with the case manager for service provision.
• Supervise and monitor the Occupational Therapy programs and student progress.
• Act as a knowledge source within The Calais School community.
• Offer in-service workshops and training sessions for staff as needed.

Requirements

Certification as a New Jersey School Occupational Therapist.
