Job Description

We are recruiting for the position of Personal Banker I - Floating at Civista Bank. As a Personal Banker I, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and building customer relationships through a consultative sales approach to help customers achieve their financial objectives. You will also provide essential sales, service, and operational support to the retail banking team, embodying Civista Bank's commitment to enhancing the financial well-being of our stakeholders and communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers daily to establish connections, process transactions, assess needs, recommend products, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of products and services to meet customer requirements, including opening new accounts, achieving cross-sell targets, and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Prioritize continuous personal development through ongoing learning, adapting to new processes and systems to contribute to organizational growth.
  • Adhere to operational procedures diligently, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and promptly.
  • Handle customer requests promptly and accurately, maintain appropriate cash levels, and communicate effectively both internally and externally.
  • Promote technology adoption in banking interactions, educating customers on using digital tools such as mobile banking and online platforms.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of previous teller experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing technologies.
  • High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Above-average knowledge of technology and a willingness to learn new software applications.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to concentrate for extended periods, operate computer screens, and lift objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to work under distracting conditions, read, write, and communicate effectively in person and via phone.
  • Occasional travel may be required for meetings and training.
