Job Description

The Program Coordinator II, also known as the Technology Specialist, plays a vital role in assisting in activities related to the medical and psychosocial aspects of utilization and coordinated care. This remote position requires the candidate to reside in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Initiate authorization requests for output or input services, maintaining PHI integrity
• Screen for eligibility and benefits, prioritizing CM assessment
• Coordinate services with community-based organizations, represent the plan at marketing and outreach meetings
• Train new Program Coordinators, guiding staff on benefits, authorization requirements, and policies
• Data entry of assessments and authorizations

Education/Experience

High school diploma or equivalent; 3-5 years managed care setting, medical office, or facility setting with experience in medical administration duties. Thorough knowledge of customer service, utilization review, or claims processing practices in a managed care environment, and operation of office equipment such as a personal computer. Knowledge of medical terminology. LPN license is highly preferred.
