Location: Devonshire by Erickson Senior Living, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida

Job Type: Full-Time, 12-hour shift rotation

Job Description

We are seeking a Security and Emergency Services (SES) Utility Officer I to be responsible for carrying out the SES Program under the direction of the Supervisor at our luxurious 26-acre resort-style continuing care retirement community. The position involves regular patrols of the property, relief staffing for the gatehouse, non-emergency service response, and support roles in emergency responses under direct supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Routine interior and exterior patrols of the buildings and grounds.
  • Conduct safety checks and inspections in support of Life Safety and OSHA compliance.
  • Respond to non-emergency calls for service from dispatch and security by radio or telephone timely and appropriately.
  • Assist in Community Emergencies, fires, floods, severe weather, hazardous materials incidents, bomb threats, evacuations, and searches of missing residents.
  • Maintain a visible and professional presence at the gatehouse, create the best initial impression of the community, acknowledge visitors, and provide assistance as needed.
  • Screen all vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering the community per the gatehouse SOP and document all visitors and vendors/contractors via the standard Gatehouse log.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older and possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
