Emergency Veterinary Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our team at Premier Veterinary Group in Grayslake, IL. As part of our Emergency and Critical Care Department, you will play a crucial role in triaging and providing care to our patients. Our ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional client communication skills and a deep commitment to delivering premier experiences for pets and their owners.

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming patients and manage client interactions.
• Assist DVM's in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
• Complete patient treatments timely and accurately.
• Execute, monitor, and recover sedation and anesthetic events.
• Participate in the organization and flow of the Emergency and Critical Care department.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess general nursing care skills, anesthesia administration, and client communication abilities. Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, with certification or licensing as a veterinary technician preferred. Candidates of all skill levels are encouraged to apply.
