Job Description
We are looking for a talented Lead Machinist to join our team at Middle River Aerostructure Systems. As a Lead Machinist, you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where precision and expertise are key. Your responsibilities will include programming, operating, and troubleshooting multi-axis NC and manual milling and turning equipment to create one-off, precision details. Additionally, you will provide technical expertise to internal and external customers, lead and train other machinists, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program, operate, and troubleshoot multi-axis NC and manual milling and turning equipment.
- Develop work holding methodology, select appropriate tooling and machines, and create setup sheets.
- Lead and train other machinists on higher complexity job assignments.
- Provide technical expertise to internal and external customers.
Requirements:
- HS Diploma/GED Equivalent. Technical degree or vocational training preferred.
- (15) years of Industry experience and (10) years of relevant experience.
- Experience in machining a variety of materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
