Job Description

Responsibilities
- Creates solutions for high-impact technology and business priorities.
- Competent in multiple contexts, including programming languages, security, automation, and testing.
- Participates in strategic technology decisions affecting Discover as a whole.
- Proactively identifies and mitigates issues based on intuition and experience.
- Coaches technology communities within Discover.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related fields.
- Internal applicants must have a technical proficiency rating of proficient on the Dreyfus engineering scale.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in front-end web development with JavaScript frameworks and backend technologies.
- Knowledge of Cloud Technologies like AWS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, and OpenShift.
- Experience with API service architecture and automation mindset in testing and deployment.
- Proficiency in CI/CD Pipeline tools such as Jenkins, Github Actions, Chef, and more.
- Strong technical skills in Java, Spring, Kafka, Openshift, and Jenkins.

Compensation
Base pay ranges from $104,000.00 to $175,600.00, with additional incentives based on various factors.
