Job Description
The University of Vermont Medical Center is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Ambulatory Children's Specialty Center team. As a Staff Nurse II, you will provide professional nursing care to pediatric patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality care. This role involves assessment, planning, and implementing nursing care plans for patients throughout their healthcare journey.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and support during treatment and care transitions.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Participate in patient education and preparation for ongoing care needs.
- Possess knowledge and experience in pediatric hematology and oncology.
Requirements
- Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or commitment to obtaining BSN as per organizational standards.
- CPHON certification preferred or willingness to acquire within 2 years.
- Prior experience in pediatric hematology and oncology, both inpatient and outpatient settings.
