Senior Development Officer

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Development Officer to join Enterprise Community Partners, a national nonprofit dedicated to making a good home possible for families in need. The Senior Development Officer will devise fundraising strategies, cultivate relationships with funders, and collaborate with program teams to secure support for housing, resident services, racial equity, and climate work. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful projects and advance systems change in the community development sector.

Responsibilities

• Immerse in Enterprise's mission and programs to inform fundraising strategy.
• Collaborate with program staff to articulate programming and develop case statements for funders.
• Cultivate relationships with local, regional, and national funders.
• Organize meetings, events, visits, and prepare briefing materials for prospects and funders.
• Write and submit proposals, reports, and stewardship documents in alignment with funder guidelines.
• Create customized funder proposals and impact reports with design and communication support.
• Maintain accurate records in Salesforce.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in corporate and foundation fundraising.
• Proven track record in securing 6-figure gifts.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
• Knowledge of community development and affordable housing industry is a plus.
