Ethos Veterinary Health is seeking a Full-time Surgery Veterinary Technician to join the team at Bulger Veterinary Hospital in Lawrence, Massachusetts. As a Surgery Technician, you will work closely with board-certified surgeons and anesthesiologists to provide exceptional care for pets undergoing various surgical procedures. This role involves anesthetic monitoring, radiography, surgical assistance, and the opportunity to specialize in anesthesia or surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform anesthetic monitoring and assist with intubation/extrubation.
- Prepare and handle blood samples for diagnostic tests.
- Take and process radiographs throughout the surgical process.
- Assist during surgical procedures, including laparoscopic and arthroscopic surgeries.
- Monitor patient vitals and assist in post-operative care.
- Potential to pursue VTS certification in anesthesia or surgical specialty.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited AVMA program or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two years of experience in Veterinary Anesthesia.
- Proficiency in calculating and delivering anesthetic agents.
- Strong record-keeping skills and familiarity with anesthetic monitoring.
- Preference for CVT, LVT, or VTS certification.
