Job Description

The Echo Ultrasound Tech is responsible for performing high-quality echocardiograms and vascular ultrasounds following accredited guidelines. Working closely with Cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and Radiologists, the Technician must exercise independent judgment and initiative in producing high-quality ultrasound images. This role involves working with diverse patient populations, necessitating knowledge of human anatomy, and spatial relationships of cardiac and vascular structures. The position may require irregular work hours, overtime, on-call availability, and rigorous physical demands.

Responsibilities

  • Perform echocardiograms and vascular ultrasounds following accredited guidelines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide patient care.
  • Exercise independent judgment for adequate diagnostic information.
  • Learn and operate new procedures and equipment efficiently and accurately.

Requirements

  • ARDMS Registry
  • ECHO certification
  • Registered in adult echocardiography (RCS or RDCS) and vascular ultrasound (RVS or RVT)
  • Graduation from an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography school

Qualifications

  • On-call availability
  • Living within a 30-minute distance from the hospital
