Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our manufacturing facility at Select Industries Corp. As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for interpreting design schematics, cutting and shaping dies, and assembling metal tools. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of metalwork, engineering, and have a keen eye for detail to create expertly crafted components essential for the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret assembly prints.
• Build fixtures using tools and dies.
• Repair and maintain molds, dies, and tools as needed.
• Create designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Inspect tools and dies for imperfections.
• Ensure quality standards are met.
• Operate and adjust machines to produce high-quality products.
• Maintain a safe and organized workspace.
• Collaborate with engineers and machinists.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in operating measuring and production equipment.
• Knowledge of geometry, trigonometry, and algebra.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience with CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Education and Experience

• Prior experience in die setting or metal stamping.
• Tool and Die Maker certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Sitting, standing, and lifting up to 15 pounds.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Additional physical requirements detailed.

Work Environment

Work in an environment with moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels.
