Veterinary Technician

Job Description

Ethos Veterinary Health is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to join the Emergency and Critical Care Department at Premier Veterinary Group in Grayslake, IL. The successful candidate will be responsible for triaging and providing care for patients while embodying a culture of respectful and compassionate treatment towards clients and their pets.

Responsibilities

• Triaging patients and managing client interactions.
• Assisting DVM's in patient assessment, diagnostics, and treatments.
• Completing daily treatments accurately and on time.
• Assessing and caring for hospitalized patients.
• Supporting organization in the Emergency and Critical Care department.
• Processing laboratory samples and utilizing imaging techniques.
• Monitoring and managing sedation and anesthetic events.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a high school education or equivalent, with several years of related experience. Certification or licensing as a veterinary technician is preferred. Skills required include general nursing care, anesthesia administration, assisting in procedures, and client communication.
