Job Description
We are currently looking to hire Warehouse Workers with Forklift Operations experience to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. This is a full-time position with a 4-day shift starting on Monday and ending on Friday, offering a competitive salary of $17 per hour. No weekend work is required!
Primary Objective & Scope of Position
This role involves efficiently handling merchandise movements, including storing, moving, and distributing products. As a Warehouse Worker, you will lead by example, provide training to other employees, and ensure accuracy in inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Move merchandise within locations to optimize space.
- Transfer merchandise to and from the show floor for storage, delivery, or customer pickup.
- Utilize the point of sale (POS) system for managing inventory flow.
- Inspect, identify, and receive incoming merchandise; unpack, assemble, and wrap outgoing items.
- Train and support other team members.
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Engage in warehouse maintenance and adhere to safety policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or working towards one).
- Basic math skills.
- Knowledge of tools, hardware components, and product assembly.
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Experience with POS systems is a plus.
