Counselor (part-time)

Job Description

Lycoming College is seeking a part-time Counselor to join our Counseling Services team. The Staff Counselor will provide general counseling services to students, including individual, relationship, and group counseling. Responsibilities include outreach programming, crisis intervention, and referral services, as well as training and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client services, including psychotherapy and crisis intervention.
• Deliver counseling support to students individually and in groups.
• Support specific populations such as LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and International students.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure student needs are met.
• Offer after-hours crisis intervention and education/outreach services.
• Maintain accurate records with confidentiality.

Requirements

• Master's degree and appropriate licensure in counseling psychology or related field.
• Experience in clinical counseling with college-aged populations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and handle sensitive information.
