Role Summary/Purpose:
We are seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to support all aspects of assembly for legacy and NPI programs, focusing on safety, quality, cost, delivery, and technology development.
Responsibilities:
- Provide production troubleshooting support and daily direction to manufacturing personnel.
- Develop and maintain assembly work instructions and repair plans.
- Design and implement new assembly and inspection tooling.
- Lead process improvement initiatives and productivity enhancements.
- Participate in technology initiatives and R&D.
- Support equipment upgrades and ensure safety and ergonomics in processes.
- Investigate product quality issues and implement improvement plans.
- Lead cross-functional meetings and factory layout planning activities.
Requirements:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience in fabrication and mechanical assembly.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
Desired Characteristics:
- Catia V5 experience.
- Aerospace background.
- GD&T and CAD experience.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methods.
