Job Description
We are hiring Merchandise Handlers to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. As a Merchandise Handler, you will be responsible for various duties related to moving, storing, and distributing products efficiently. This role involves maintaining inventory accuracy, providing training, and ensuring customer orders are processed effectively.
Responsibilities
- Move and organize merchandise to optimize space.
- Prepare merchandise for display, storage, or shipment.
- Utilize the point of sale system for inventory management.
- Receive and inspect incoming merchandise, and assemble outgoing orders.
- Provide training and guidance to other team members.
- Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a secure work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic math skills.
- Knowledge of tools, hardware components, and product assembly.
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Experience with a point of sale system is beneficial.
