Merchandise Handler - Overtime Available

Job Description

We are looking for motivated Warehouse Workers with Forklift Operations experience to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. This full-time position offers competitive pay starting at $17 per hour.

Primary Objective & Scope of Position

The Merchandise Handler will be responsible for efficiently moving, storing, and distributing products within our warehouse. This role includes providing training to other team members and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently move and rearrange merchandise to optimize space usage.
• Handle the transportation of products to and from the show floor, ensuring proper display and storage.
• Utilize the point of sale (POS) system for inventory management.
• Inspect, receive, assemble, and pack merchandise for shipments.
• Provide training to other team members and maintain a high level of customer service.
• Adhere to safety protocols to prevent damage and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (or currently working towards completion).
• Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware components.
• Valid driver's license and basic computer proficiency required.
• Experience with a POS system is desirable.
