Job Description
Slumberland Furniture is currently seeking a dedicated Senior Merchandise Handler to join our warehouse team. This full-time position involves efficiently handling merchandise, ensuring accuracy in inventory management, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Move and organize merchandise within the warehouse for optimal space utilization.
- Transfer merchandise to and from the showroom, ensuring proper display and storage.
- Utilize the point of sale (POS) system to manage inventory flow accurately.
- Inspect and handle incoming and outgoing merchandise to maintain quality standards.
- Provide training to other team members and lead by example.
- Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, and vendors to ensure excellent service.
- Maintain safety standards by following protocols, handling equipment properly, and keeping the facility organized.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and product assembly.
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic computer skills, POS knowledge is a plus.
