Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Senior Merchandise Handler to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. As a crucial part of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and distribution of our products. If you have experience in merchandise handling and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized facility, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Efficiently move and consolidate merchandise to optimize space utilization.
- Handle the movement of merchandise to and from the show floor for storage, delivery, or shipment.
- Utilize the point of sale (POS) system to manage merchandise flow accurately.
- Ensure accuracy in customer orders and system records.
- Unload, inspect, tag, and process incoming merchandise; assemble, inspect, and package outgoing items.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent. Basic math skills required.
- Knowledge of tools, hardware components, and product assembly.
- Valid driver's license and basic computer knowledge.
- Experience with POS systems is desirable.
