Warehouse Associate

Job Description

We are currently looking for Warehouse Associates with experience in forklift operations to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in the movement and distribution of merchandise, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Efficiently move and organize merchandise within locations to maximize space utilization.
• Transport merchandise to and from the show floor, ensuring proper display, storage, or shipment.
• Utilize the point of sale (POS) system to manage inventory flow and maintain accuracy in customer orders.
• Receive incoming shipments, inspect, and prepare outgoing merchandise for delivery.
• Provide training to other employees and uphold exemplary standards in merchandise handling.
• Ensure exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
• Resolve inventory discrepancies and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to safety protocols, operate equipment safely, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor, including maintenance tasks and adherence to company rules.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED; basic math skills required.
• Knowledge of tools, hardware components, and product assembly.
• A valid driver's license is mandatory.
• Basic computer knowledge and previous experience with the POS system are desirable.
