Warehouse Associate

Job Description

Slumberland Furniture is currently hiring Warehouse Associates to join our team. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in the storage, movement, and distribution of merchandise. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Primary Objective & Scope of Position

• Responsible for merchandise movement, including storing, moving, and distributing products.
• Lead by example and provide training to other employees.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities

• Efficiently move and organize merchandise to maximize space utilization.
• Prepare merchandise for display, storage, delivery, or shipment.
• Utilize the point of sale (POS) system for inventory management.
• Ensure accuracy in customer orders and system records.
• Receive incoming shipments and inspect outgoing merchandise.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (or currently working towards).
• Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware components.
• Valid driver's license and basic computer knowledge required.
• Experience with a POS system is desirable.
