Job Description
Slumberland Furniture is currently seeking Warehouse Team Members with forklift operations experience to join our team. This full-time position offers competitive pay starting at $17 per hour. Primary Objective & Scope of Position:
This role involves handling merchandise movement tasks, including storing, moving, and distributing products. The ideal candidate will lead by example, provide training to colleagues, and ensure efficient operations within the warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently move and organize merchandise to optimize space usage.
- Prepare merchandise for display, storage, delivery, or shipment.
- Utilize point of sale systems for inventory management.
- Ensure accuracy in customer orders and system records.
- Receive incoming shipments and prepare outgoing products.
- Provide training to fellow team members.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a safe work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
To qualify for this position, candidates must have a high school diploma or GED (or currently working towards one), basic math skills, knowledge of tools and hardware assembly, a valid driver's license, and basic computer proficiency. Prior experience with point of sale systems is advantageous.
