Job Description

We are currently looking to hire Warehouse Workers with experience in forklift operations to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. If you are a dedicated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, this opportunity is for you.

Primary Objective & Scope of Position

This role involves handling merchandise movement including storing, relocating, and distributing products effectively. In addition to executing tasks related to merchandise, Warehouse Workers are expected to lead by example and provide training to other team members.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently move and organize merchandise to maximize space utilization.
  • Transfer products to and from the show floor for display, storage, delivery, or shipment.
  • Utilize the point of sale (POS) system to manage inventory flow accurately.
  • Ensure precision in handling customer orders and maintaining system records.
  • Receive incoming merchandise by unloading, inspecting, and tagging it; assemble, inspect, and wrap outgoing items for flawless delivery.
  • Lead by setting a positive example and provide training to fellow employees.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining professionalism in interactions and resolving inventory discrepancies.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, maintain equipment, and follow company guidelines to ensure a safe and organized work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor which may include varied schedules, locations, and facility maintenance tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; ongoing education is welcomed.
  • Basic math skills and familiarity with tools and product assembly.
  • Valid driver's license and basic computer proficiency.
  • Knowledge of POS systems is advantageous.
