Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Ideal applicant will be based in the Greater Boston/S. NH area. The Associate Field Application Engineer will provide advanced technical support, deliver product presentations alongside US Sales and customers, and coordinate technical inquiries with Japanese and US Engineering teams. Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, this role is critical in enhancing the technical presence within key customer accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary advanced technical resource to Sales team and Hirose customers.
  • Communicate directly with customers for application support, performance spec inquiries, and new product development requests.
  • Support Sales team in expanding technical presence in key customer accounts.
  • Understand customer technology trends and applications while building relationships with cable and harness manufacturers.
  • Participate in technology and product demonstrations as needed.

Communication and Interface

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all departments and with customers.
  • Strong presentation skills for internal and external meetings.
  • Proactive, creative, and responsive to customer requests.

Requirements

  • BSEE or BSME required; 1 year of experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with CRM software a plus.
  • Positive attitude, team player mentality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work cross-culturally, preferably with Japanese companies.
  • Willingness to work with Japanese teams and travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
  • Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
