CERTIFIED PATHOLOGY ASSISTANT

JOB DESCRIPTION

Campbell County Health is seeking a Certified Pathology Assistant to join our comprehensive healthcare team in Wyoming. The role involves managing daily specimen grossing workload, assisting with specialized procedures, and collaborating with pathologists to ensure accurate diagnoses.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assure appropriate specimen accessioning and clinical information collection.
• Describe gross anatomic features and dissect surgical specimens.
• Prepare tissue for histologic processing and additional analytical procedures.
• Perform autopsies, digital slide scanning, and maintain compliance with regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Science degree and NAACLS completion.
• ASCP Certification, Certified Pathology Assistant.
• 1-2 years of Pathology Assistant experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, concentration, and computer skills.
