CAREGIVER

Job Description

We are hiring a Lead Teacher (Caregiver) to join our team at Abacus Childcare. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for formulating and implementing the curriculum, creating weekly lesson plans, and training Assistant Teachers. This role involves classroom assistance, liaison with parents and staff, and maintaining a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate must be professionally prepared with a CDA and possess classroom experience, management skills, sensitivity, and the ability to prioritize effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement curriculum and weekly lesson plans.
• Train and support Assistant Teachers.
• Ensure effective communication with staff, parents, and children.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and update children's files.
• Participate in special functions and be available for additional meetings or special circumstances.

Requirements

• CDA certification and classroom experience.
• Strong management and communication skills.
• First Aid and CPR training preferred.
• Knowledge of state regulations and personnel policies.
• Ability to work flexible schedules and handle office duties.
