Construction Intern

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Construction Intern to join our team at Home Creations. As a Full-Time-Hourly/Non-Exempt intern, you will work in Edmond, Oklahoma, assisting the superintendent with various construction, maintenance, and landscaping tasks. This role offers hands-on experience in residential construction while supporting the overall quality and efficiency of our projects.

Responsibilities

• Maintain landscaping, yards, shrubs, trees, and watering sod.
• Help keep streets and gutters clean.
• Perform minor touch-ups and activities on the punch list.
• Ensure quality standards are met in all products.
• Understand residential construction processes and common practices.
• Conduct daily inspections of houses and provide feedback to the team.
• Communicate with subcontractors and attend staff meetings.
• Complete any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma with six months of general labor experience.
• Knowledge of erosion control guidelines.
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in using technology and computers.
• Ability to work in varying outdoor conditions and handle physical demands.

Work Environment

You will be exposed to outdoor work sites with various elements. This role requires some physical activities and driving to different locations in different weather conditions.

Tools and Equipment

To perform your tasks efficiently, you will be provided with a tablet/phone, tape measure, levels, and basic hand/power tools.
