Event Planning Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Event Planning Specialist to join the Air Line Pilots Association team in McLean, Virginia. As the primary contact for pilot members and staff, you will be responsible for securing meeting spaces and accommodations, planning events, and making travel arrangements. This role requires travel, some nights, and weekends, with a focus on budget management and excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient booking of lodging and meeting venues.
• Plan and coordinate various Association events and travel arrangements.
• Maintain strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Adhere to budget requirements and financial reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of relevant event planning experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and event planning software.
• Ability to work under pressure and make prompt decisions.
