Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at Joyce University in a part-time capacity. As our Maintenance Technician, you will be tasked with a variety of maintenance and repair duties to ensure the upkeep of our campus facilities. The ideal candidate should possess proficiency in multiple trades, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively. This position demands a proactive and detail-oriented individual capable of efficiently managing a diverse range of maintenance tasks.

Note: This part-time role is based at our Draper, UT campus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repair and painting tasks to maintain the campus aesthetic.
  • Fix or replace faulty equipment, appliances, and fixtures.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
  • Regularly inspect facilities to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Assist with furniture movement, assembly, and installation.
  • Basic cleaning, groundskeeping, and occasional snow removal.
  • Basic troubleshooting of plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with team members and vendors on assigned projects.
  • Handle any other tasks as designated.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar maintenance role.
  • Proficiency in trades like carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to lift heavy objects.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations.
  • Licensure in relevant trades is a plus.
