Mechanical (Solidworks) Engineer - Matteson, IL

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Mechanical (Solidworks) Engineer to join our team at Konecranes Nuclear Equip and Services LLC in Matteson, IL. As part of our innovative engineering team, you will design cranes, material handling equipment, and other devices using Solidworks, collaborate with other disciplines, and ensure high-quality standards in mechanical design.

Responsibilities

• Design cranes, material handling equipment, and devices in Solidworks.
• Create detailed mechanical drive systems.
• Annotate drawings with precision to meet customer specifications.
• Develop Bills of Materials (BOM) for mechanical designs.
• Collaborate with multiple teams for turn-key projects.
• Perform design changes and modernization projects on existing equipment.
• Provide technical support to installation crew and customers.
• Optimize crane components to enhance cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Solidworks or Pro-E.
• Knowledge of ASME, AISC, and CMAA standards.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a team player.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
