Job Description
Join the Utah Transit Authority as a Mechanic/Technician Apprentice at the Meadowbrook location. This is a competency-based program where you will participate in technical instruction, attend classroom sessions, and pass written tests to demonstrate proficiency in areas such as Preventative Maintenance, Electrical, Brakes, Air Systems, and more. You will work under supervision to perform manual tasks, assist in complex repairs, and conduct preventative maintenance inspections. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to acquire a Class B CDL with passenger endorsement within 60 days.
- Educational requirements including degree, military experience, technical school, or relevant work experience.
Shift & Pay Rate
Shift timing from 3:00 pm to 1:30 am with specific days off. Starting pay rate from $25.33 to $29.33 per hour with additional shift differentials. Wage progression throughout the apprenticeship program up to the Journeyist classification upon graduation.
