Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Matheny School and Hospital. As a Full Time Community Services Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing skilled nursing care to individuals with developmental disabilities in our group homes.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary nurse for a caseload of community residents.
- Provide professional nursing care and ensure continuity of care.
- Collaborate with staff and clinical departments to facilitate teamwork.
- Conduct health education and training for Direct Support Professionals.
- Document health care according to regulations and community residence requirements.
- Coordinate care with medical professionals and respond to crises as needed.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and staff meetings.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Assist with nurse staffing coverage and perform duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred.
- 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Valid NJ RN license and Driver's License.
